Im just gonna be honest here, when I opened Twitter and saw that I had been nominated, my first reactional response was and I quote, “Oh no!”
Why was that my first reaction? Dont get me wrong, I am truly honored as I stated above.
But, for a brief moment the human nature kicked in and fear presented itself. I was scared to finally admit that blogging is now part of my resume, and that there are people who believe I deserve this and want my staying power.
I love writing, and have written many things, so fear, is just gonna have to take a back seat as always.
For those of you who do not know what
The Versatile Blogger Award & The Mystery Blogger Award is, its an award created to celebrate blogs who have unique content, strong writing, and beautiful images or photographs.
(The rules and my nominees are below).
Here are 7 facts about me you didn’t know:
1. I am Nanny
I dont usually share this part of my life but I have the best job in the universe. I am nanny to the Minnesota Timberwolves basketball players, and have been for the past 4 years. I am one of 3 Ladies, who attend almost every game to hang out with their younger children, so that their spouse/girlfriend can attend the games. I also go to their homes as needed.
2. I am a foster mom
You may know (if you’ve read my bio) that I have 8 beautiful children and 8 grandchildren, but what you didnt know is that I am also a foster mom of 20+ years to over 100 children, some of which I still have a relationship with.
I am the oldest of my 5 siblings. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
4. My youngest Grandson
My youngest grandson was born with hydrocephalus (water on the brain). He is 3 years old now and doing well.
5. My youngest son
My youngest son is my personal workout trainer. You would think he would be light on mom, oh no. I told you he was my trainer and that’s just what he does.
6. My dogs
I had 2 dogs a 5 year old Dauschaud (who we still have) and a 15 year old American Pit Bull. One summer day she got out (our pit bull) and never came back. We couldn’t find her anywhere. A very sad summer for our family. That’s not like her, so our belief is that she was dying and didn’t want the family to know. We still shed tears over her.
7. My oldest granddaughter
I’ve been told my oldest granddaughter who is 16 years old and driving y’all. I can’t believe it. Anywho, looks just like me.
